Nat King Pole

Nat King Pole
Nat King Pole first found his footing on a Cornwall roller skating rink back in the 1970s where he first began to realize the mileage of a good pair of sock-stuffed pants. Thirty some-odd years, and countless numbers of girls later, The Pole Man was born on the stages of Miriam Ginestier’s famous Meow Mix. Always in search of the next big laugh, NKP takes well-known songs and makes the lyrics queerly his own. Famous for his dick-shtik and live singing, fans of NKP may be thrilled to find out that future performances will begin to showcase the more sensitive side of the man.

Nat King Pole’s alter ego, Nathalie Théorêt, is a licensed practical nurse by day and a stage performer at heart. She’s been singing on stages throughout Québec and Ontario since she was 8 years old, is the daughter of Québec’s La Reine de Yodel, Elaine Théorêt and former front woman for the now defunct 80s rock group One Track Mind. After what seemed like a lifetime of goaltending in the Québec women’s hockey league, Nat turned to her second love, singing, to while away her spare time. She is currently a proud member of Montréal’s drag king collective, King Size.
