Dam it! is a Centre for Gender Advocacy project and advocacy initiative with a clear goal in mind: getting dental dams (latex barriers that help prevent STI transmission during oral/vaginal or oral/anal sex) included as part of safer sex products offered free of charge by Quebec’s Ministry of Health.

Check out their DAM IT! BOOTH at Concordia University (Hall Building, 1455 de Maisonneuve West), starting this Tuesday, February 14th! Booth display sign and larger-than-life artwork–dental dam, safe sex glove and lube bottle–created in collaboration with Montreal’s Dukes of Drag!

Dam it! est une initiative du Centre 2110 portant un objectif clair : faire inclure les digues dentaires (de minces feuilles de latex servant à prévenir la transmission d’ITS lors des contacts sexuels oraux/vaginaux ou oraux/anaux) parmi les produits favorisant les pratiques sexuelles à risques réduits offerts gratuitement par le Ministère de la Santé du Québec.

Allez voir leur kiosque DAM IT! à l’Université Concordia (Édifice Hall) le 14 février! Leur affiche et leurs méga pièces d’art – digue dentaire, gant de sécuri-sexe et bouteille de lubrifiant – ont été créées en collaboration avec les Dukes of Drag!

Friday, February 10, the Dukes’ own Ian Poe Kerr performs as a butler in DeAnne Smith’s Stand Up, Strip Down. Featuring many cool strippers and comedians! Tits and giggles for the whole family. Doors at 8PM, show at 8:30PM. Théâtre Ste-Catherine, 264 Ste-Catherine East. $12/$10 (students).

Friday, February 17, the Dukes’ own Mitch Mitcham and Steevy Lixx get it on at Candyass Cabaret alongside notorious Duke Nat King Pole and the usual Candyass suspects! Doors at 9PM, show at 10PM. Admission $10. Cabaret Cléopatre, 1230 St-Laurent, 2nd floor.

Saturday, February 18, check out Le Cabaret des Bombes presented by les Sublimes Rondeurs and featuring the Dukes’ own Stefan LeDude and DeVery Bess as well as other cool performers! 9PM at Café Cléopâtre, 1230 St-Laurent. $10.
